Five things to check before choosing a seafood export partner

2 May 2026Protech Team6 min read

Certifications, traceability, cold chain, consistency and communication — a quick checklist for importers and distributors.

Choosing where your frozen seafood comes from is a quality and a risk decision. A few things are worth confirming before the first order.

First, certifications — BRCGS, HACCP and the relevant national approvals (in India, MPEDA, FSSAI and EIC) tell you a processor is audited against real standards. Second, traceability: can they tell you where a lot came from and how it was handled? Third, the cold chain: how is product held and shipped, and is it documented?

Fourth, consistency — grades and counts that match the spec, every shipment. And fifth, communication: a partner who answers clearly and quickly is one you can build a business on. Ask these five questions of anyone you’re considering, including us.

Let’s talk about your next order.

Tell us what you need and where it’s headed. Our export team will come back with availability, specifications and pricing.
